The Company has recently learned that a man falsely claiming to be from Astellas is contacting job seekers. This person offers work-from-home positions immediately following a telephone interview and then demands personal identifying information, banking information, and/or payment from the applicant. In addition, an Indeed.com account in the name of “Pharma Ltd.” recently posted multiple “Phone Adherent” job opportunities in order to solicit resumes from unsuspecting applicants, presumably for the same purpose. Astellas immediately contacted the site and the false information has been removed.
THESE JOB OFFERS AND JOB POSTINGS ARE FRAUDULENT. “Astellas Pharma Ltd.” is not a legitimate Astellas entity, and no “Phone Adherent” positions (or other similar work-from-home customer service/call center jobs) exist within the Company. Furthermore, Astellas will NEVER ask prospective employees for money at hire or request a social security number or banking information by phone or email when extending an offer.
If you have any concerns about the validity of an Astellas job posting or job offer, please contact the following individuals:
- For jobs at Agensys, Inc.: Teri Brunasso
- For jobs at Astellas Pharma Technologies Inc.:
- For all other U.S.-based Astellas jobs: Carrie Passavant or Rochelle Lund
